This publication contains instructions for installing and configuring the dual-width OC-12c Dynamic Packet Transport Interface Processor (DPTIP), an OC-12c interface that uses the second-generation Versatile Interface Processor (VIP2) to provide a shared IP over SONET capability in Cisco 7500 series routers. The DPTIP assembly consists of a VIP2 with a dual-width Dynamic Packet Transport (DPT) port adapter permanently attached to it.
This publication contains basic configuration steps with examples. The DPTIP is compatible with any Cisco 7500 series router.
