This chapter describes how to delete managed elements and managed objects in CDM. You can delete a Cisco DSLAM chassis or you can delete individual modules. When you delete a chassis object, you also delete all modules, interfaces, and connections within that chassis. You can only delete a chassis if it is decommissioned, which means that all active management has ceased. You can also delete individual modules, ports, and other managed entities including individual subscribers.
This chapter includes the following sections:
To delete a DSLAM chassis as a managed element and all the objects that are associated with it, complete the following steps.
Note Before you delete a DSLAM chassis, Cisco recommends that you decommission it first. |
Step 2 From the left side of the Map Viewer window, right-click C6100v30ManagedElement-[Name of chassis] to access the object menu.
Step 3 Choose Deployment > Delete Objects.
