This section discusses the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the Workgroup CDDI/FDDI EISA Adapter Hardware Installation.

Document Objectives

The Workgroup CDDI/FDDI EISA Adapter Hardware Installation is designed to help you install the workgroup CDDI and FDDI EISA adapters.

Audience

This publication is designed for network administrators and other people responsible for setting up and maintaining the workgroup EISA adapter. You should have a basic background knowledge of the EISA hardware systems.

Summary of Contents

Chapter 1, "Product Overview," describes the workgroup EISA adapter hardware, and lists the contents of your workgroup EISA adapter package.

Chapter 2, "Preparing for Installation," describes the prerequisites for installing workgroup EISA adapters, including safety, cabling, tools, and materials.

Chapter 3, "Installing the Adapter Hardware" provides instructions for installing the single attachment and dual attachment workgroup EISA adapter in any EISA system.

Chapter 4, "Troubleshooting the Adapter," provides instructions for identifying and resolving problems that may occur during workgroup EISA adapter hardware and software installation.
