Cisco documentation and additional literature are available on a CD-ROM called Cisco Connection Documentation, Enterprise Series. Document Objectives

This user guide explains how to use the Cisco 200 for Windows 95 software. It contains background information, instructions for using the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Connection Manager, and instructions for creating a new connection.

Audience

This user guide is written for the person using the Cisco 200 for Windows 95. To use this manual effectively, you should be familiar with Windows 95-based software, including the use of menus and toolbars.

Document Organization

This user guide contains the following chapters:

• Chapter 1, "Overview of the Cisco 200 for Windows 95," provides a brief overview of the major features of the Cisco 200 for Windows 95 and highlights the basic product requirements.

• Chapter 2, "Using the ISDN Connection Manager," describes how to use the Connection Manager. This Windows 95-based utility allows you to configure and monitor your Cisco 200 for Windows 95 connections.

• Chapter 3, "Making New Connections," describes the procedure for creating additional configuration files. These files are used to define multiple connections.

Document Conventions

This guide uses the following conventions to convey instructions and information:

Command descriptions use these conventions:

• Commands and keywords are in boldface.

• Variables for which you supply values are in italics.

• Elements in square brackets ([ ]) are optional.

• Alternative but required keywords are grouped in braces ({ }) and are separated by vertical bars ( | ).

• A plus sign between keyboard commands means hold down one key while pressing the other. For example, Ctrl+Enter means hold down the Control key while pressing the Enter key.

Examples use these conventions:

• Nonprinting characters are shown in angle brackets (< >).

Before You Start

Before you use this document, you should already have completed these tasks:

• Obtain an ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) line from your ISDN service provider (telephone company).

• Install the Cisco 200 for Windows 95 hardware and software using the documents outlined below. The documents should be used in the order indicated.
