MMI (Man-Machine Interface) Management Function

MMI (Man-Machine Interface) Management Function

Definition

The MMI function makes it possible to access the different services offered by the file transfer and remote supervision management functions. It can be accessed through an asynchronous terminal connected directly or via the X.25 network to a FastPADmp.

Access

The syntax of the access code to the MMI function is the following:

  DNIC ZO 99 D IS No PASSWORD (CR)

Note Refer to Chapter 1 for the breakdown of this code.

This password exists if it has been configured (RR by default).


Operation

When the connection is established, the MMI function instructs the operator to pursue a dialogue, displaying a series of menus.

The first menu displayed is the following:

Code 1 :

Selection of file transfer function (see the section describing the file transfer management function).

Code 2 :

Reserved.

Code 3 :

Breaking of communication with MMI function.
