What is TrueView Alert Manager?

TrueView Alert Manager is a Token Ring management program that runs under Microsoft Windows. TrueView Alert Manager is part of a suite of management applications that perform management functions. TrueView Alert Manager is a TrueView application for managing alerts on the network. An alert occurs when something happens to a device. For example, if a device does not appear on the network, you may want to be notified as soon as possible.

What Can You do with TrueView Alert Manager?

Alert Manager allows you to:

• View a list of all the alerts that have occurred

• Store new alerts as they occur and view the messages when you are ready or add new alerts to the alert list as soon as they occur, automatically scrolling the list

• Decide which situations produce an alert

• Control the way that Alert Manager responds to each type of alert. You can choose one, or a combination, of the following:

  • Produces a beep sound

  • Displays a pop-up window

  • Plays a sound other than a beep

  • Runs an application
