These topics describe the fields on the dialog boxes used in Distribution Manager:
The Create Job dialog box opens when you select Devices>Create Job.

Field | Description | Notes |
---|---|---|
Name | The names of existing QoS databases. | The databases reside on the machine running the QoS Manager service. |
Modified | The last day and time the database was saved. |
|
Size | The size of the database. |
|
Description | The database description. |
|
Database Name | The name of the database from which you want to create a job. Either select a database from the list or type in the name of an existing database. |

Use the Options dialog box to configure various Distribution Manager behaviors.
Tab | Field | Description | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Jobs | Stop if error occurred | Select this if you want Distribution Manager to stop distributing configuration changes to the devices when an error occurs. | Changes made prior to the error are not backed out. If another device is being configured when an error occurs, that device's configuration is completed before QPM stops policy distribution. |
Configure one device at a time | Select this if you want Distribution Manager to change the configuration of one device at a time. If you deselect this, Distribution Manager configures several devices simultaneously. |
| |
Show Unchanged Devices | Select this to display all devices defined in the database, even those devices whose QoS configurations have not changed since the last time the database was saved. |
| |
Restore To Current | Select this to enable the Restore to Current feature. |
| |
Deployment | Deployment output options:
| The output files are located in the Versions folder in the QoS Policy Manager file structure. The files for each job are located in a separate folder identified by the job number. The output file for each IOS device is identified by the device name. | |
Logs | Number of jobs to show | The number of jobs to show in the tree view, from 1 to 500. |
|
Number of system log messages to show | The number of messages displayed in the system log in the logging pane, from 1 to 100. |
| |
Number of jobs to store | The number of jobs for which logs are saved, from 1 to 500. | When the limit is reached, the oldest job is deleted to make room for a new job. | |
Number of system log messages to store | The number of system messages that are saved, from 1 to 999. | When the limit is reached, the oldest message is deleted to make room for a new message. | |
Global Settings | Access Control List Number Range | ACL ranges for translation of QPM policies to CLI commands. |
|
Access Control | Select to enable creation and modification of access control policies. | This setting can be overridden for specific devices. | |
NBAR Port Mapping | Select to enable NBAR port mapping. | You can configure the mapping of NBAR ports by clicking the NBAR Port Mapping button in the Device Properties dialog box. This setting can be overridden for specific devices. | |
Write Memory | Select to enable writing device configuration changes to the device's memory. | If you do not select Write Memory, when you reboot the device, your configuration changes are lost, and the device uses its last saved configuration. This setting can be overridden for specific devices. |
