Deinstalling NSP Release 2.0

Deinstalling NSP Release 2.0

This chapter briefly describes the procedures to remove NSP Release 2.0 from the mainframe. After you have been running the ISM Release 3.0 for a period of time and you are confident that your site no longer needs NSP Release 2.0, you can deinstall it.

To deinstall NSP Release 2.0, complete the following steps:

Note When making these changes you should also refer to the NSP Release 2.0 Installation Instructions and Release Notes, for example, CiscoWorks Blue Native Service Point for SOLVE:Netmaster Release Notes, 2.0.1 (document number 78-3943-02).

Step 1 Update your SOLVE Run JCL to remove any hlq.NSPV1R2.* datasets.

For example, remove the following data sets from your COMMANDS DD concatenation:

Step 2 Update the SOLVE INIT procedure, for example NMINIT, to remove the allocation of the NSP Release 2.0 panels library.

Step 3 Update the SOLVE INIT and/or READY procedure, for example, NMINIT and NMREADY, to remove the initialization of NSP.

For example, you might execute a procedure named NMUDB or NSPUDB, which allocates and opens NSP Release 2.0 datasets.

Step 4 Delete member $NWRUNCX, which was created as part of the NSP Release 2.0.1 Release Notes.
