Populate the Database with Router Data

To populate the database with router data, you must first discover the routers. The discovery process discovers and records every device in the network that supports any of the supported protocols. To discover the network devices, use one of the following applications:

For information on how to discover network devices, follow the instructions in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide. Use one of the following procedures in Chapter 10:

Run Verify and then Resolve Errors

After you finish installing and configuring CiscoWorks Blue and discovering routers for the database, you can use the verification program to ensure that all went successfully. Click Verify on the Administration window or enter the following commands:

cd /opt/CSCOcb/bin
./cwb verify

Use the Web Interface

http:// host_name[:port_number]

Where host_name is the name of the host with the CiscoWorks Blue web server. The port_number is optional if you use port 80. For example, if your host name is host.cisco.com, and you use port 8080, you would type: http://host.cisco.com:8080

For information on how to get started with SNA View, see the
