You can start the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration application from the Windows Start menu. To start the application from the Start menu, click Start > Programs > CiscoWorks Blue > Configuration.
You can start the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration application from the CiscoWorks Blue taskbar bridge icon, if CiscoWorks Blue SNA View is up and running. To start Configuration from the taskbar bridge icon, right click the icon, then select Configuration.
You can start the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration application from \TargetDir\CSCOcb\bin, where TargetDir is the location in which CiscoWorks Blue SNA View was installed. To start the application from a system prompt, enter the following commands:
After installation, the first time you start CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration, the Configuration Wizard starts. Initially, the Configuration Wizard is used to configure CiscoWorks Blue SNA View. The Configuration Wizard guides you through configuring SNA Connections.
Use the Configuration window for the following information:
Specifying whether DNS searches are to be performed. Device names may be known by fully qualified domain names or by abbreviated names. Enabling DNS searches guarantees that both types of names are matched on a device query and service request times.
Configuring TCP and UDP Ports
After you exit the Configuration Wizard, the next time you start the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration application, and every time thereafter, the Configuration Wizard does not start. Instead, the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window is displayed. For more information about the tasks you can perform from this window, see the "Using the SNA View Configuration Application" section.
You can access the Configuration Wizard in the following two ways:
The Configuration Wizard is automatically started during the initial installation procedure if you choose to configure during installation.
If for some reason you want to use the Configuration Wizard again, edit the $CWBROOT/etc/config.properties file, and replace mode=advanced with mode=wizard. The next time you start CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration, the Configuration Wizard starts. However, Cisco recommends that you use the Configuration application.
Use the Configuration Wizard (CiscoWorks BLue SNA View Properties) window to configure SNA connections. To configure SNA View properties using the Configuration Wizard, use the following procedure:
Step 2 To add a new SNA connection, click Add. The Configuration Wizard Add New Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-6. From this window, you can set properties for the new SNA connection. For more information, see the "Using the Configuration Wizard to Add New Connections" section.
Step 3 To modify an existing SNA connection, select the connection in the SNA Connection list and click Edit. The Configuration Wizard Modify Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-8. From this window, you can change properties for the selected SNA connection. For more information, see the "Using the Configuration Wizard to Modify Connections" section.

Step 12 When you are satisfied with the changes you have made, click Done. The Configuration Wizard saves your changes and exits.
Step 13 You may be prompted to stop and restart all CiscoWorks Blue processes for the changes you made to take effect.
Step 14 Once you have configured CiscoWorks Blue SNA View using the Configuration Wizard, the next time you want to configure, use the Configuration application. For more information, see the "Using the SNA View Configuration Application" section.
The Add New Connection window allows you to add new SNA connections to the CiscoWorks Blue database. Use the following procedure to add new SNA connections.
Step 2 To add a new SNA connection, click Add. The Configuration Wizard Add New Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-6. From this window, you can set properties for the new SNA connection.
The Configuration Wizard Modify Connection window allows you to modify existing SNA connections in the CiscoWorks Blue database. Use the following procedure to edit SNA connections:
Step 2 To modify an existing SNA connection, select the connection in the SNA Connection list and click Edit. The Configuration Wizard Modify Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-8.
Step 3 From this window, you can change properties for the selected SNA connection. Use the following information as needed:

CMDS Port

Step 4 When you are satisfied with your selections, click OK to save your changes and close the Modify Connections window.
Use the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window to configure SNA View. The CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window is shown in Figure 4-10.
Use the General window on the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window to configure general SNA View properties. Use the following procedure to configure general SNA View properties:
Step 1 On the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window, click the General tab. The General window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-10.

During router discovery, the routers are queried for the selected protocols they support. Select the Protocols you want to use during the discovery process. APPN, DLSw, RSRB, or TN3270.

Step 1 On the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window, click the SNA Connection tab. The SNA Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-11.

Step 2 On the SNA Connection window, click Add. The Add New Connection window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-12. For more information on this window, see the "Add New Connection Window" section.
Step 4 Add the mainframe connection ports numbers. Use the following information as needed:

Use the Additional Ports window to change the default mainframe connection ports to be used by an SNA connection.
Use the following procedure to change the mainframe connection port:
Step 1 On the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window, click the SNA Connection tab. The SNA Connection window is displayed.
Step 2 On the SNA Connection window, select a connection from the list and click Edit. The Modify Connection window is displayed.
Step 3 Click More Ports. The Additional Ports window is displayed.
Step 4 Change the default mainframe connection ports.
Step 5 When you are satisfied with the ports you have changed, click OK to save your changes and close the Additional Ports window.
Step 6 When you are finished, click OK to save your changes and close the Modify Connection window. The new or modified ports are added to the mainframe connection ports list.
The Add New Connection window allows you to add new SNA connections to the CiscoWorks Blue database. Use Configuration > SNA Connection > Add to display the Add New Connection window, as shown in Figure 4-14.

Specifies the number of host discovery buffers to be encountered before detailed performance and tracing data is written to the log for use by TAC.

Logging Path

SQL Update Size

You may not want to allow SNA View users to use all filter types. Use the SNA View window on the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window to control which filters they may use. Use the following procedure to configure SNA View properties:

For example, after discovery, cwbsnamaps and cwbdlswPollerd processes are restarted.
Step 3 (Optional) To add a new Web interface for NetView OS/390 or to modify an existing Web interface, click Add, or select an interface from the list and click Edit. The NetView OS/390 Web Interface window is displayed. For more information, see the "Configuring the NetView OS/390 Web Interface" section.

Displays the NetView OS/390 Web Interface window, allowing you to modify an existing Web interface for NetView for OS/390.
Delete
Deletes the selected Web interface from the NetView OS/390 Web Interface list.
Use the NetView OS/390 Web Interface window to add a new Web interface for NetView for OS/390 or to modify an existing interface. Use the following procedure to add or modify a Web interface:
Step 1 On the CiscoWorks Blue SNA View Configuration window, click the Web tab. The Web window is displayed, as shown in Figure 4-21.
Step 2 Click Add, or select an interface from the list and click Edit. The NetView OS/390 Web Interface window is displayed.

Step 3 Make any modifications using the following information:

Specify the NetView identifier.
URL
Specify the URL to be used for this Web interface.
Step 4 When you are satisfied with the changes you have made, click OK to save your changes and close the NetView OS/390 Web Interface window.
