These release notes summarize the following topics:

Important Notes

Please note the following regarding the IP/TV Content Manager 2.0

The Preference for Capacity per server is preset at 5000 kbits/sec. This is used as the default when adding a new server. The Preference for Capacity for all servers is preset at 10000 kbits/sec. This is a maximum number. As you need more bandwidth, see page 3-17 of the IP/TV Content Manager manual to revise these settings.

When you define an IP/TV 3420 to serve as a limited On-Demand Server, you need to select the option "IP/TV ON-Demand Server" instead of "Other File Server" in the New Server or Modify Existing Server dialog box. We recommend that the maximum for the capacity field is as follows:

You should back up at regular intervals the custom information for your system in case of castastrophic failure. See page 2-25 of the IP/TV Content Manager manual for instructions. Also included in the accessory kit is a rebuild diskette and CD. See Appendix C of the Cisco IP/TV 3400 Series Server Guide for instructions about how to rebuild the system disk back to factory defaults.

Caveats for Cisco IP/TV 3410 Control Server

The 3410 Control Server is shipped with IE 4.0. However, if you access the 3410 remotely with IE 3.02, the buttons on the Content Manager's Main Page do not change state or give a description of their function when you move over them with a pointer.
