Bug ID | Severity | Title | Description | Impact | Workaround |
CSCtm01609 | 2 | Signal Loss of BITS Clock is not detected | On release 1.0, it was discovered that the CSM hardware cannot detect the LOS when BITS clock is removed. Hence, there is no clock switching when we loose BITS clock due to LOS. | If there is no BITS clock due to LOS on the T1 span, there will be clock slippage. | Use NMC T1 line as external stratum clock source. |
CSCtm01572 | 2 | Hard drive corrupted during dbbackup and restore process. | The problem is when the IDE hard drive contains bad sectors. This issue is not detected until the software tries to use the sector for storage. This causes the drive to fails. | Hard drive failure. | None |
CSCtm01553 | 2 | STDBY SCC intermittently gets into FAIL state due to IDE malfunction | Defect or malfunctioning IDE cause the SCC to fail. Switchover occurs to prevent disruption to service. If problem occurs in standby SCC, operator can replace without disruption to service. | Loss of redundancy coverage until the drive is replaced. |
CSCtm01521 | 2 | Can't recover access to failed DSP | If there is a DSP failure on the MSM-DSPV module, the current FPGA does not time-out on read/write access to the device. This causes the host processor to hang. Hence, the hardware watchdog is triggered. | This will cause the NMC to be reset by hardware watchdog. |
CSCtm01599 | 3 | 24hr Call Completion test yields less than 100% due to the MCS call agent | 100% call completion can't be achieved when using MCS (TransMedia's call agent) for call control. MCS is no longer supported. | Not applicable |
CSCtm01408 | 3 | Add extra field in lsClkSrc for software/customer clock src setting | Needs to display clock synch source along with other info when querying clock source data | None |
CSCtm01396 | 3 | lslns does not display T3 lines | Needs to display data for T3 lines when using lslns CLI command | none |
CSCtm01382 | 3 | Capital letters are not accept as a key when attempting to download bootcode | Capital letters are allowed for filename in bootcode download, but only small letters are used in download utility. | None | Don't use capital letters |
CSCtm01001 | 3 | SCC 10 line integrated alarm does not reflect line status | The integrated alarm on the SCC in slot 10 shows incorrect alarm for the SCC due to logical slot mapping | Alarms on the SCC itself may be incorrectly reported. | None |
CSCdp47831 | 3 | DMC clock source not acknowledged after SCC switchover | When DMC is the primary source for the clock and it is switched over, the clock source becomes applicable on the stand by DMC after it is re-applied | After the SCC switch over, the DMC clock source fails; this result in a clock switch to the secondary clock source. | Provide a good secondary clock source other than DMC. After SCC switch over, re-program the DMC clock source as primary clock source. |
CSCdp47723 | 3 | ESF/AMI ones density scheme needs to be determined. | When user selects AMI as line coding, there is no one-density insertion to prevent one-density violation. | This will cause the CPE side to loose frame synchronization due one density violation. | Use B8ZS line coding. |
CSCtm01607 | 4 | Unable to clear errors on onbertds1 tests. | BERT test statistics can't be cleared | none | Need to know BERT status before starting test run |
CSCtm01603 | 4 | Invalid performance and statistics data are displayed for newly added DS1 | When a new DS1 is added, some invalid performance and statistics are shown when printed | None | Clear data manually after adding new line |
CSCtm01584 | 4 | Cannot list MSM cards with lsmsms. | When printing info for card configured with 2 MSM, card configuration are not shown | None |
CSCtm01569 | 4 | Can't adjust line length on the DS1 loop | LBO needs to be adjustable for different line length. Today we support the short line length. | None | None |
CSCtm01564 | 4 | Boot code hang in VxWorks banner | The VxWorks banner is not displayed in the NMC after rebooting the NMC 100+ times | None | issues `resetcd'command from the SCC |
CSCtm01561 | 4 | Second DSPV card does not show when listing a NMC card with two | When printing info for card configured with 2 MSM, card configuration are not shown | None |
CSCtm01559 | 4 | Changing a vport using "#" or " " as a <voicePortNumRepetition> fails | The number of repetition for voice port was not defaulted to 1. Hence, there is no default. If user tries to use it as default (#), the operation will fail. | None |
CSCtm01546 | 4 | Degraded Minutes performance parameter not supported. | Bursty Errored Seconds are not supported, but CLI and WebEm fields reserve/print fields for them | None |
CSCtm01525 | 4 | onbertds1 CLI cmd option specifies # of DS0's to test, s/b bit m | onbertds1 testing data is displayed in Bit map format. The output may appear to be for DS0 | None |
CSCtm01495 | 4 | NMC Firmware version not printed | NMC bootcode version is not printed if the bootcode is loaded via burning in the chip. This work fine if the bootcode is downloaded via the update command | None |
CSCtm01395 | 4 | Clock Synch HW can't detect signal loss | This is the same issue as CSMtm01609 | After entering "clrcdcnf" followed with a space " " the system printed an error message followed by a Login: prompt. This only occurs if the clrcdcnf command is followed by a space and no card number. | Entering the lscd # command prints many fields. The Software Revision Field and Firmware Revision Field display is reversed. |
CSCtm01391 | 4 | clrcdcnf command | An error message is printed if a space is typed following the clrcfcnf command (i.e. "clrcdcnf ") | None |
CSCtm01336 | 4 | Software revision field on lscd command displays wrong info. | Entering the lscd # command reveals many fields. It appears that the printing of the Software Revision Field and Firmware Revision fields have their information reversed. | None |
CSCtm01310 | 4 | Announcement file registry is lost after DB cleared. | The announcement files are not loaded on to the NMCs after the DB is cleared. |
| Re-downloading all the .wav files again to be registered. |
CSCtm01163 | 4 | ALM parity error while trying to add voice connections. | ALM hardware generates parity error while adding voice connections. | None | None |
CSCtm01049 | 4 | Illegal IP address allowed with addcms command. | Illegal IP address allowed with addcms | None | Verify entry of IP address |
CSCtm00612 | 4 | Netscape browser cannot bring up Chassis View 1st time after the PC | When Netscape browser may not come up with the chassis view when used for WebEM for the very first time. | None | Kill Netscape and try again and it should work |
