Guide to MGX 8880 Media Gateway User Documentation

The MGX 8880 Media Gateway is composed of a rack mountable chassis including:

•A 16-slot card cage

•A PXM-45 card

•A power supply module

•An RCON (redundancy connector) card

•Cooling fans and plenum chambers

In addition to the PXM-45 card, the card slots can be populated with the following cards>

•A second (redundant) PXM-45 card

•One or more Voice Switch Service Module (VXSM-155, or VXSM-48-T1E1) cards

•One or more Voice Interworking Service Module (VISM-PR) cards

•One or more Route Processor Modules (RPM-XF) cards

•One or more ATM Switch Service Module (AXSM-2-622-B or AXSM-16-155-B) cards
