Alarm Management Function

Alarm Management Function

Definition

This management function is a calling function. It makes it possible to distribute alarm messages to a specified subscriber (e.g., network management system) when certain outstanding events occur.

Operation

The operator can configure:

On or more backup subscribers can also be configured.

If the main subscriber and the backup subscribers are unavailable, alarm messages are destroyed.

When the alarm function distributes a message, a virtual circuit with the subscriber is established. At the end of an inactivity time-out to configure in C24.R0.P32, the alarm function clears the virtual circuit.
