Upgrading From Cisco Access Manager to Cisco UGM 2.1

Upgrading From Cisco Access Manager to Cisco UGM 2.1

You can manually transfer configuration and image files from Cisco Access Manager to Cisco UGM by completing these tasks:

Overview of the Upgrade Process

Cisco UGM 2.1 runs on Cisco Element Management Framework 3.2 and stores its data in an object-oriented database, whereas Cisco Access Manager does not run on the Cisco Element Management Framework and stores its data in an Oracle database. Migrating files between these two systems is done manually.

Preparing the Configuration and Image Files for Transfer

Step 1   Create a temporary directory for the configuration and image files that will be transferred.

Step 2   Copy the configuration and image files to this temporary directory.

Uninstalling Cisco Access Manager

Step 1   From the CiscoWorks2000 Server desktop, select

Server Configuration > Setup > Uninstall CAM Client

The Uninstall the CAM Client dialog box appears with a link to download the uninstall program for both Windows and UNIX.

Step 2   Follow the instructions in the Uninstall the CAM Client dialog box.
