Description

The Content Services Gateway (CSG) Service Manager, Release 2.2, provides service activation features for the CSG. Release 2.2 requires the following applications to be loaded and installed in the order listed:

1. CSG Service Manager, Release 2.0

2. CSG Service Manager, Release 2.0, patch

3. CSG Service Manager, Release 2.2

You must load the install files from the CD-ROM and install them in the correct order as described next.

Loading and Installing the Application

To load and install the CSG Service Manager files, complete the following steps:

Step 1 Insert the CSG Service Manager CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

Step 2 Make the following directories:

mkdir /var/tmp/csgsm20

mkdir /var/tmp/csgsm20ptch

mkdir /var/tmp/csgsm22





Step 3 Change permissions on these directories:

chmod 755 /var/tmp/csgsm20

chmod 755 /var/tmp/csgsm20ptch

chmod 755 /var/tmp/csgsm22





Step 4 Enter the following commands to set up and install CSG Service Manager, Release 2.0:

cp <cdrom directory>/CSGMgr2_0_10062004.tar.gz /var/tmp/csgsm20




gunzip /var/tmp/csgsm20/CSGMgr2_0_10062004.tar.gz




tar -xvf /var/tmp/csgsm20/CSGMgr2_0_10062004.tar




/var/tmp/csgsm20/disk1/setup.sh





Step 5 Enter the following commands to set up and install the CSG Service Manager, Release 2.0 patch:

cp <cdrom directory>/CSGSM2.0-sol-CSCeg144211.tar /var/tmp/csgsm20ptch




tar -xvf /var/tmp/csgsm20ptch/CSGSM2.0-sol-CSCeg144211.tar




cd /var/tmp/csgsm20ptch/CSCeg14421-1




<install-dir>/bin/perl CSCeg14421-1.pl





Step 6 Enter the following commands to set up and install CSG Service Manager, Release 2.2:

cp <cdrom directory>/CSGMgr2_2.tar.gz /var/tmp/csgsm22




gunzip /var/tmp/csgsm22/CSGMgr2_2.tar.gz




tar -xvf /var/tmp/csgsm22/CSGMgr2_2.tar




/var/tmp/csgsm20/disk1/setup.sh




Step 7 Read the Release Notes for Content Services Gateway Service Manager, Release 2.2, for important configuration instructions.
