Supported Device Table for

Supported Device Table for
Device Fault Manager 1.0

Revised: November 19, 2001

The following tables list the devices supported when Device Fault Manager 1.0 was released:

Note These devices may be categorized differently in the DFM display.

Table 1, Routers

Table 2, Access Servers

Table 3, Switches

Table 4, Hubs

Note This list contains the Cisco model names of all devices that are supported by DFM 1.0. Variants to the generic device (device model names that have unique extensions) are not supported unless they are specifically listed. For example, DFM 1.0 supports the Cisco 7000 series model 7513, but not model 7513MX.

Other devices (not listed in these tables) may appear in your DFM GUI but with incomplete information. This occurs when DFM polls its inventory and discovers the devices, but the devices do not have the "Certified" or "Validated" level of certification. (For more information on levels of certification, see the Device Fault Manager User Guide, available from online help.)

Note DFM does not support switch clusters. A switch cluster is a group of switches comprised of a master switch and slave switches. This relationship allows NMSs to query the master switch for information about the slave switches.

The incremental device support packages for all of these devices are installed when you install Device Fault Manager 1.0. New versions of incremental device support packages may be available at www.cisco.com. To see a list of all packages installed on your CiscoWorks2000 server, select Server Configuration > About the Server > Applications and Versions.

1 "Partial DFM support" means DFM does not report all device attributes because it polls MIB-II values for these devices.
