Provided only on the 4500 and 4700 series.
Cisco routers supply the User Tracking application with ARP Table information.
Since Cisco 800 series routers do not support CDP MIB, Topology is partially supported. Because of this, the devices cannot be used as seed devices and cannot discover other devices that are further behind these device.
IOS version 3.2(7), 3.2(9), 3.2(12), 3.2(13), and 3.2(15) are compatible code bases for Catalyst 5000 ATM interface.
Cisco Catalyst 3500XL is supported in IP Mode only. Clustered devices not assigned an IP address are not currently supported.
User Tracking will not discover end-hosts connected to Catalyst 2900XL or Catalyst 3500XL devices running IOS 12.0(5)XP.
Cat3000, 3001, and 3002 may erronously indicate duplicate MAC addresses after each UserTracing Aquisition (DDTS# CSCdk20561).
Enterprise additions only.
Cisco Catalyst 2800 devices must run Cisco IOS Software Release 8.0 (Enterprise), or later.
Cisco Catalyst 1900 devices must run Cisco IOS Software Release 8.0 (Enterprise), or later.
Management interface only.
