You need to collect some data before you install CiscoWorks Blue, such as location of key programs and identification of ports to be used. For information on this data, see Chapter 2 in the
CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Mainframe and Installation Guide.
For information on how to install the mainframe software, see Chapter 2 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Mainframe Installation Guide.
X-windows based user interfaces will start at the end of workstation installation. Set the DISPLAY variable before you start the installation.
Use the following command to start the setup procedure:
setup.sh

Enter licenses from separate license sheets, press Enter if you are not licensed for both Maps and SNA View. For information on how to apply the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View licenses, see Chapter 5 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide
The installation script automatically starts the configuration script. If it does not or if you want to reconfigure after installation, see "Configuring CiscoWorks Blue after Installation" in Chapter 5 of the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide.
To populate the database with router data, you must first discover the routers. The discovery process discovers and records every device in the network that supports any of the supported protocols. To discover the network devices, use one of the following applications:

After you finish installing and configuring CiscoWorks Blue and discovering routers for the database, you can use the verification program to ensure that all went successfully. Click Verify on the Administration window or enter the following commands:
cd /opt/CSCOcb/bin
./cwb verify
Type the URL of the CiscoWorks Blue web server:
http://host_name[:port_number]
Where host_name is the name of the host with the CiscoWorks Blue web server. The port_number is optional if you use port 80. For example, if your host name is host.cisco.com, and you use port 8080, you would type: http://host.cisco.com:8080

Installation and configuration are complete. Use your local or remote Web browser as the primary interface to use this product. All required services and processes automatically starts every time the machine reboots.
