You will need to collect some data before you begin installation, such as the location of key programs and the identification of ports. For information on this data, see Chapter 2 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Mainframe and Installation Guide.

Run setup to install CiscoWorks Blue SNA View. Setup should automatically launch from the CD. For information on how to install the product, see the "Installing CiscoWorks Blue SNA View for Windows NT" procedure in Chapter 3 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide.
Enter the license key for the SNA View from the license sheet shipped with your CD. For information on how to apply the
CiscoWorks Blue SNA View licenses, see Chapter 3 in the
CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide. Enter the license key for the SNA View from the license sheet shipped with your CD.
The installation script automatically starts the configuration GUI. If it does not, or if you want to reconfigure after installation, see the "Configuring CiscoWorks Blue after Installation" procedure in Chapter 4 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide.
To populate the database with router data, you must first discover the routers. The discovery process discovers and records every device that supports any of the supported protocols. The Administration application should automatically start.
Use the Administration application, as described in the "Adding Devices to the Database" procedure in Chapter 9 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide.
After you finish installing and configuring CiscoWorks Blue SNA View and discovering routers for the database, verify that all went successfully. Click Verify on the Administration window.
Use the Administration application, as described in the "Launching the Installation Verification Web Page" procedure in Chapter 3 in the CiscoWorks Blue Maps and SNA View Installation and Administration Guide.
Type the URL of the CiscoWorks Blue web server:
http://host_name[:port_number]
Where host_name is the name of the host with the CiscoWorks Blue web server. The port_number is optional if you use port 80. For example, if your host name is host.cisco.com, and you use port 8080, you would type:
http://host.cisco.com:8080
