IMPORTANT: Additional Installation Instructions
Please read the following instructions before you begin installing Cisco Application Analysis Solution (AAS).
Introduction
Cisco AAS comprises several integrated software programs:
•Application Analysis engine enables you to capture application traffic in your production network; import the captured data to create detailed application models; visualize, analyze, and troubleshoot the applications; and predict application performance by "deploying" applications in a simulated network environment.
•Application Capture Agents capture application traffic throughout your production network. Cisco AAS includes Application Capture Agent installers for multiple platforms. You can install as many capture agents as you need, and thereby capture multi-tier applications from multiple locations.
•ACE Decode Module (ADM) enhances the visualization and diagnoses offered by the Application Analysis engine with powerful application decodes. Decode many protocols and applications, including Citrix, HTTP, FTP, Email (SMTP, POP3); Novell (IPX and NetWare 5); Microsoft (SMB, NetBIOS, NetBEUI); Sun NFS and RPC; CORBA; Web Services (.NET, SOAP, UDDI), and others.
Note Installers for the Application Analysis engine and Application Capture Agents are included in this package. However, you must download the ACE Decode Module (ADM) installer.
