You can upgrade your user license or your software version.
You can upgrade licenses for Cisco IPeXchange NLM and NT versions in increments of 10 users, 25 users, and 50 users. The upgrade license is a "bump up" license; for example, if you have a 10-user license and you install a 10-user upgrade license, your license is legal for 20 concurrent users.
Before you install an upgrade license, the IPeXchange product must be installed and running. The upgrade license does not work with evaluation software.
To upgrade your license, reinstall your IPeXchange gateway software in the normal way with the setup program. When you are prompted for your serial number, enter your license upgrade serial number. After installation, restart the IPeXchange gateway.
After you restart the gateway, you can get status information to verify the number of licenses you have.
We recommend that you register your IPeXchange software at the Cisco IPeXchange web site (wwwij.cisco.com) under user registration. That way you can receive notices about new features and software upgrades as they become available.
This site also contains the latest versions of IPeXchange gateway and client software, which you can download. To update gateway software, use your license key to unlock your user license level. To update client software, reinstall the client software.
