Important Information About
Cisco MeetingPlace Products and
Cisco Media Convergence Servers
In order to ensure a consistent environment for Cisco MeetingPlace applications, new installations of Cisco MeetingPlace software must be installed on one or more Cisco Media Convergence Servers (MCS).
Server Requirements
The number and model of Cisco MCS you need depends on the number of MeetingPlace Web and voice conferencing user licenses in your organization and on the MeetingPlace integration applications to be installed. Use the following table to determine your requirements.
Installing the Operating System on a Cisco MCS
Cisco MCS ship without an operating system installed. A Cisco Systems version of the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server operating system is provided on a CD and shipped with relevant MeetingPlace software applications that run on the Cisco MCS hardware.
Before you install any Cisco MeetingPlace software, install the operating system on the Cisco MCS. Follow the procedure in Installing the Operating System on the Cisco IP Telephony Applications Server, Version 2000.2.4 or higher, which is included with the operating system software. Although this documentation references Cisco CallManager and other applications, it is also applicable to MeetingPlace applications.
You will need the following product key during the installation:
BTOO VQES CCJU IEBI.
Caution Do not install the Cisco operating system on any hardware other than Cisco MCS.
For general information about Cisco MCS or to obtain documentation, visit http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/voiceapp/ps378/index.html.
