About This Manual

The following paragraphs discuss the objectives, audience, and conventions of the LightStream 2020 Configuration Guide. They also list related Cisco documentation for the LightStream 2020 multiservice ATM switch (LS2020 switch).

All Cisco technical documentation and additional literature are available on UniverCD, Cisco's online library of product information. UniverCD is updated and shipped monthly, so it might be more up to date than printed documentation. UniverCD is available both as a single CD and as an annual subscription. To order UniverCD, contact your local sales representative or call Customer Service. You can also access Cisco technical documentation on the World Wide Web, URL http:://www.cisco.com.

Document Objectives

This configuration guide is a task-oriented manual that tells you how to use a series of configuration programs to configure LS2020 nodes in a network. The manual discusses the various procedures you need to perform and presents equipment settings that are either required or recommended.

Your network should be fully installed before you begin to configure it. See the LightStream 2020 Installation Guide for installation instructions.
