You can use the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) Server application to enable your computer to be accessed and used to transfer files to other remote users and network processors such as bridges, routers, and terminal servers. TFTP Server can use multiple connections simultaneously and can restrict directory access and access privileges to remote users. The remote users must be using a TFTP client application.
This chapter describes the basic features of TFTP Server. You can explore the other features of TFTP Server by accessing the application's online help information.
Take the following steps to start TFTP Server:
Step 2 Select Setup Server from the Options menu.
The TFTP Server Setup window opens. (See Figure 11-1.)
Step 3 Click on the Server On checkbox to turn on TFTP Server (an X should appear).
Step 4 Specify which directories you want remote systems to access and the read/write permissions for each directory in the File Access area.
Step 5 Click OK to confirm the settings.
TFTP Server is now ready to accept connections. Users can access your PC as long as the application is running.
Select Exit from the File menu to terminate all current connections to TFTP Server and close the application.
