2.3. Summary

We've covered the basics of sound and digital audio. You're now ready to learn how to capture high-quality source material and optimize it for web audio using the best software editing tools. Optimizing your audio with a sound editor, a conversion utility such as RealNetwork's RealProducer, or a batch-processing tool such as Wave's WaveConvert Pro can be tremendously difficult and frustrating. However, familiarity with basic audio terms gives you the knowledge base with which to tackle the information in the remaining chapters.
