This book can't hope to tell you everything you need to know about firewalls and the broader issues of network and Internet security. In this appendix we have pulled together references to what we think are the most useful additional resources. These include both electronic and offline resources: World Wide Web pages, FTP sites, mailing lists, newsgroups, emergency response teams, other types of organizations, papers, conferences, and books. This is not an exhaustive list. Because there are so many resources, and because technologies and publications change so rapidly, there is no way we can keep completely up to date. It is very useful as a jumping-off point to other WWW pages and Internet resources related to network security.
