HP-UX Bastille is a security hardening, lockdown tool that you can use to enhance the security of the HP-UX operating system. It provides customized lockdown on a system-by-system basis by encoding functionality similar to the Bastion Host and other hardening and lockdown checklists.

Bastille was originally developed by the open source community for use on Linux systems. HP made significant contributions to the content of Bastille and used it as the base to develop HP-UX Bastille.
