Unpacking a LightStream 2020 Switch

When it arrives, unpack the LS2020 switch as follows:

Step 1   Before moving the shipping container from your loading dock, inspect it for any signs of in-transit damage.

Step 2   Transfer the container to the systems area, remove the cardboard box, and remove the packing material.

Step 3   Locate the power cord(s) and mounting hardware.

Step 4   Inspect all external surfaces for signs of damage. Pay special attention to any areas of damage to the shipping container. Document any damage noted during the inspections and notify your LS2020 vendor.

Step 5   See the LightStream 2020 Installation Guide for instructions on installing the LS2020 switch.

Warning An LS2020 system is heavy, particularly if it is fully configured with cards. Do not attempt to move the system by yourself. Be careful to avoid injuring yourself or damaging the hardware by using unsafe lifting techniques.

Caution Do not use the handles on the peripheral assembly, the blower covers, or the power supplies to lift or transport the LS2020 chassis. These handles are not designed to support the weight of the chassis.
