Console Baud Rate

The console port supports terminal and PC access to a switch management interface. The baud rate on the console terminal port must match the baud rate on the terminal or PC that you use for switch management. From the Console Baud Rate window, you can change the baud rate on the console port for one or several cluster members.

To change the console port baud rate:

  1. Select a switch from the Available Devices list.
Click Select All below the list if you want to change all switches in the list.
  2. Click Add to move your selections to the Selected Devices list.
To remove a switch from the Selected Devices list, select the switch name and click Remove. To remove all members, click Select All and Remove.
  3. From the Console Baud Rate drop-down list, select a baud rate that matches the setting of the attached terminal or PC.
    The default is 9600 bps.
  4. Click Set Baud Rate to put your changes in effect and close the Console Baud Rate window.
