-v

The -v command-line switch, for the Build program, specifies the build variant arguments that are passed to the confBLDVARIANT Build macro (V8.12 and later).

The editmap program makes changing database files easy, without the need to rebuild them (V8.12 and later).

-h

The -h command-line switch allows mail.local to deliver mail to a file in each user's home directory (V8.12 and later).

Section 5.4.2

The output of the mailstats program has been expanded to include additional fields (V8.9, then V8.12 and later).

-P

With mailstats, the new -P command-line switch prints in the same program-friendly form as -p, but does so without zeroing the statistics file (V8.12 and later).

-t

The -t command-line switch with makemap allows you to specify an alternative to whitespace as a field separator (V8.12 and later).

Section 5.8.1

The instructions for building and installing the smrsh program have changed (V8.9 and later).

Section 5.8.4

The smrsh program now allows the && and || expressions to exist inside ~/.forward files (V8.10 and later).

-C

The vacation program now reads the sendmail program's configuration file to locate the value of the MailboxDatabase option (MailboxDatabase). The vacation program's -C command-line switch can be used to select a different configuration file (V8.12 and later).

-d

The vacation program's -d command-line switch can now be used to print, rather than log, all errors (V8.12 and later).

-l (lowercase L)

The vacation program's -l command-line switch allows you to list the contents of the vacation database (V8.12 and later).

-t

The vacation program's -t command-line switch is now recognized and ignored (V8.12 and later).

-t

The vacation program's -U command-line switch allows you to turn off the lookup of the user identity in the passwd(5) file (V8.12 and later).
