Get Help with Ubuntu

There are many ways to get help with Ubuntu. You can obtain paid support, or use one of the many free support options, such as:

  • The Ubuntu wiki documentation, which hosts a vast range of community-contributed documentation on using Ubuntu.

  • The Ubuntu community mailing lists, where we discuss news, ideas and issues with Ubuntu.

  • The Ubuntu community web forums, where you can ask questions looking for help, and discuss any aspect of Ubuntu.

  • IRC chat: irc.freenode.net channel #ubuntu - chat in realtime with the irc community. You will need an irc client to connect. Ubuntu comes with a messenger client, open Applications → Internet → Gaim Internet Messenger.
