ATT and OL refer to the L2 attached and overload bits; the P bit (partition)
is not used.

debug ipx ipxwan
The debug ipx ipxwan command produces information during state
changes and the start-up of serial interfaces configured for ipxwan. Although
it is seldom used in Cisco networks, ipxwan is defined in RFC 1634, and may
be required for connecting IPX resources on WAN links. This is especially
true when connecting to non-Cisco devices.
Summary
I
n this chapter, common NetWare network problems were presented,
along with generalized troubleshooting commands and recommendations to
assist in preparing for the CIT examination and for use in real-world prob-
lem resolution. These troubleshooting tools included the use of the Cisco
IOS show, debug, and Ping commands, and summaries of problems that
include GNS and SAP failures.
Readers should also understand the IPX addressing scheme; the initial
client-connection process; encapsulation; access lists; service advertise-
ments; and the benefits of scalable NetWare protocols, including IPX
EIGRP and NLSP.
