Cisco's Diagnostic Commands
Privileged EXEC Mode
The privileged mode for ping is known as an extended ping. This mode
allows many options to aid in providing additional detailed information.
The options are listed with each protocol, respectively.
IP
The functionality of the ping command is based on the same technology
as with user mode. The extended ping offers options to change some of
the ping settings.
The best way to explain it is to see it, so look at the following extended
ping dialog:
