Voice Techniques
As soon as you know the business, technical, and networking requirements, you can
construct the appropriate voice-design solution. The evolving Quality of Service (QoS) and
multiservice application integration requirements of voice, video, and data are critical
factors in a successful design network. This chapter takes a closer look at how voice can be
designed to work over data networks.
Cisco expects the successful CCDP candidate to be able to use design models to render a
voice over data solution that will meet the client's requirements for performance. The CID
exam tests your knowledge of how voice can be integrated into a successful network design.
It is expected that a CCDP will make design recommendations to improve performance
utilizing voice over data.
How to Best Use This Chapter
By following these steps, you can make better use of your study time:
·
Keep your notes and the answers for all your work with this book in one place for easy
reference.
·
Take the "Do I Know This Already?" quiz and write down your answers. Studies show
that retention is significantly increased through writing down facts and concepts, even
if you never look at the information again.
·
Use the diagram shown in Figure 16-1 to guide you to the next step.
