Getting Information About Network Design 29
Static and Snapshot Routing for Remote Access
Conserving bandwidth is a way to make the design more efficient.
Routing protocols consume bandwidth for overhead and service advertisements.
Static routes can be used across the WAN to conserve bandwidth. Snapshot routing allows peer
routers to exchange routing information upon initial connection, and then only after specified
intervals.
