X.25/Frame Relay Topologies
The CCDP exam requires you to have an in-depth understanding of Frame Relay. Because
X.25 actually came before Frame Relay, it is discussed in detail. X.25 is still used quite
extensively in some parts of the world. If you will be working on networks outside North
America, especially in Europe, the chance of your needing some X.25 knowledge is pretty
good. You will eventually run into it, if you have not already. Although it will probably not
be covered extensively on the test, it will probably be mentioned.
How to Best Use This Chapter
By following these steps, you can make better use of your study time:
·
Keep your notes and the answers for all your work with this book in one place for easy
reference.
·
Take the "Do I Know This Already?" quiz and write down your answers. Studies show
that retention is significantly increased through writing down facts and concepts, even
if you never look at the information again.
·
Use the diagram shown in Figure 10-1 to guide you to the next step.
