Foundation Summary 279
Foundation Summary
This section contains tables and lists that provide a convenient review of many key concepts in
this chapter. If you are already comfortable with the topics in this chapter, this summary could
help you recall a few details. If you have just read this chapter, this review should help solidify
some key facts. If you are doing your final preparation before the exam, Tables 8-5 through
8-7 are a convenient way to review the day before the exam.
RTMP Design Considerations
When designing a network with RTMP, the CCDP is subject to many of the same constraints
that the RIP design presents:
·
The maximum hop-count is 15
·
Routing updates occur every 10 seconds
·
RTMP packets consume quite a bit of bandwidth
·
The impact can be significant on a low-speed WAN link
·
Split-horizon requirements mandate the use of a full-mesh topology
Refer to Tables 8-5 through 8-7 for further review.
