Important changes to the Ignite-UX website for November, 2008.

  • The Ignite-UX Administration Guide, Edition 32 is now available!

    This edition includes two brand new chapters on complex networking and a brand new appendix on using Integrated Lights Out Virtual Media with Ignite-UX.

    • New chapter: Complex Networks: Challenges and Solutions.
    • New chapter: Complex Networks: Multi-Capable Servers.
    • New appendix: Using Integrated Lights Out Virtual Media with Ignite-UX.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.7.93 September 2008 release

  • A new option (-u) was added to make_[tape|net]_recovery that updates the Ignite-UX software on the client system from the Ignite server, when needed.

  • Supports new hardware enabled by the HP-UX release.

  • This release also includes defect fixes.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.6.100 June 2008 web release

  • This release fixes an issue where UNCLAIMED devices could result in installation or recovery failure.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.6.98 June 2008 media release

  • Supports new hardware enabled by the HP-UX release.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.5 March 2008 release

  • Improved agile I/O support in config files to allow disk specification by Hardware Path, World-Wide ID, SAS Physical Location, and Device ID.

  • SAS recovery issues addressed by agile I/O improvements to support SAS Physical Location in config files.

  • Significantly less time required for kernel build during install for some systems with small memory configurations.

  • Supports new hardware enabled by the HP-UX release.

  • This release also includes defect fixes.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.4.157 Early December 2007 web release

  • Install kernel no longer updates SAS adapter firmware, which resolves SAS adapter firmware upgrade issues.

Important changes in the Ignite-UX C.7.4.155 December 2007 media release

  • Support for USB 2.0 I/O protocol during install.

  • Enhanced I/O filter and search capabilities for large numbers of disks.

  • Supports new hardware enabled by the HP-UX release.

  • This release also includes defect fixes.
